How we rate
The Stay score measures one thing: how easily a visit to a casino combines with an overnight stay. It does not judge the games, the payouts or the service, and it is calculated only from published data.
How the Stay score is built
| Component | Rule | Max |
|---|---|---|
| Hotel | 25 if a hotel is inside the building, on the same resort or next door; 18 if the nearest hotel is within 100 m; 12 within 250 m; 6 within 500 m | 25 |
| Opening hours | 20 for 24-hour opening; 14 for 16 hours or more a day; 10 for 12 hours or more; 6 otherwise | 20 |
| Transport | 20 if a station is within 300 m; 14 within 600 m; 8 within 1 km; at least 10 when the station is further but on-site parking is listed | 20 |
| Facilities | 3 points each for food, restaurant, bar, parking, disabled access, live sport, poker room and terrace | 20 |
| Game variety | 2 points for each type of game the operator lists, plus 1 when any are listed | 15 |
When an operator does not publish something — a list of games, for example — that component scores lower. It does not mean the venue lacks it, only that we could not confirm it.
Where the data comes from
- Opening hours, entry rules, facilities and games — the operators’ official pages, linked from every venue page.
- Licences, account numbers and the authorities that license each premises — the Gambling Commission public register (Gambling Commission — public register).
- Nearby hotels, stations and distances — © OpenStreetMap contributors (OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL)). Distances are straight-line; walking times are estimates.
- Postcode coordinates in the finder — postcodes.io (postcodes.io (Open Government Licence)).
How often we check
Every page shows the date it was last verified. We re-check opening hours and licences regularly; if you spot an error, let us know. Report an error to contact@casinoquarter.co.uk.
How we are funded
Casino Quarter has no commercial relationship with the operators and venues we list. We are not paid for links, positions or reviews, and we do not use affiliate links. If that ever changes, we will say so on this page and on the independence disclosure page before any paid link appears, and paid links will carry the rel="sponsored" attribute.
